The objective of the visit was to familiarize students with the functioning x-ray, CT scan and MRI and the overall radiological modalities and procedures through direct observation. The diagnostic centre housed several modalities, including X-ray, CT scan (32 slices), MRI (1.5 TESLA), USG and emergency services. Students were divided into groups and taken to the X-RAY room, CT scan room and MRI room where the radiology staff explained and demonstrated various procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Students observed patient preparation, modalities, scanning protocols, other equipments, and monitoring devices, gaining practical knowledge of maintaining radiological procedures. The visit served as an effective bridge between theoretical learning and practical experience, deepening the students’ understanding of radiology practices and patient care during scanning.
In summary, the visit was both informative and engaging, equipping students with valuable insights into radiological procedures and equipment management, and the crucial role of RIT TECHNOLOGIST in overall healthcare delivery.
