Pharm D

The Pharm.D. program is a professional doctoral program designed to develop highly skilled clinical pharmacists capable of providing advanced pharmaceutical care and patient-centered servicesin accordance with the academic and professional standards prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The program integrates pharmaceutical sciences with clinical practice to ensure students gain expertise in medication therapy management, patient counseling, pharmacovigilance, and hospital pharmacy services.

The course emphasizes evidence-based clinical practice, therapeutic decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare. Students receive extensive exposure to hospital environments where they learn to monitor drug therapy, prevent medication errors, and promote rational drug use.

DURATION

6 Years

• 5 Years Academic Study
• 1 Year Internship

The internship provides practical clinical exposure in departments such as General Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, and Intensive Care Units (ICU), where students participate in ward rounds and patient case discussions.

Eligibility Criteria:Minimum qualification for admission to Pharm.D.:

(1) 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology.

(2) A pass in D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

 (3) Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.
