School of Legal Studies Organizes Moot Court Competition
The School of Legal Studies successfully organized a Moot Court Competition on 28th October 2025 for the law students. The event provided an excellent platform for budding lawyers to showcase their advocacy skills, legal reasoning, and courtroom etiquette.
The competition was inaugurated by the Worthy Vice Chairman, Dr. Akashdeep Singh, along with Dr. P. K. Sharma. The Chief Guest of the event was Advocate Gurpreet Singh Panesar, President of the Amritsar Bar Association (ABA). The proceedings were judged by Advocate Sumant Tuteja and Advocate Vishal Gogna.
Advocate Gurpreet Singh Panesar addressed the students and encouraged them to actively participate in such competitions to enhance their professional skills. Advocates Sumant Tuteja and Vishal Gogna shared valuable insights on various legal issues and motivated students with their experiences from the field of law.
The theme of the Moot Court was “Family Courts and the Hindu Marriage Act.” Through this experience, students learned to conduct in-depth legal research, think critically, and present persuasive arguments before the esteemed panel of judges.
A total of 11 teams participated in the competition, each presenting convincing legal arguments and demonstrating their understanding of procedural and substantive law. The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where the judges appreciated the efforts of all participants and awarded prizes and certificates to the winners.
