OBJECTIVES
The objective of Bachelor of Business Administration program is to train the students for the managerial positions in the industry. It endeavors to achieve the following objectives:
- To create outstanding professional administrators who will excel in dynamic and competitive Global Business Environment.
- To prepare students with quantitative and qualitative tools to identify, analyze and create business opportunities.
- To instill in the students the skills of initiative, curiosity, independence and knowledge which can allow them to become professionals.
- To train them in today’s complex business environment keeping in mind social responsibilities, legal and ethical principles.
- To empower them to realize their own potential.
- To develop entrepreneurship abilities and managerial skills so as to enable them to establish and manage their own business.
BBA program exposes the students to a variety of “core subjects” and allow them to specialize in Marketing, Finance and Human Resource Management . It also develops the student’s practical managerial skills, communication skills and business decision-making capability. BBA Program thus incorporates training and practical experience, in the form of case projects, presentations, internships, industrial visits, and interaction with experts from the industry. This discipline makes the students proficient in the techniques of handling and managing the business units. It makes them aware of Business Environment under which a business unit is required to work and also in areas like communication skills, principles of management and basic accounting concepts.

After the successful completion of BBA, graduates will be able to get an understanding in the various areas of Business and Industry and the qualities that are needed for the relevant functioning of diverse types of organizations and also to analyze the operating environment within the organizations. BBA Course prepares the students for higher studies in most sought after course i.e., MBA. After graduating in Business Administration, students will have a large number of job opportunities in the business world especially in public and private organizations. These graduates can be employed in Government jobs, Business enterprises, MNCs, Retail sector, Banking industry, FMCG etc.

Daksh Club of Department of Management Studies organised Scavenger Hunt Activity for the students of BBA, BCOM & MBA on 07.02.2024. In this activity, each team consists of two to three members and the teams were given the list of items which they have to collect within 15 minutes from the surroundings.
This activity will help the students to improve their time management skills. The students came to know how they have to work as a team.

Treasure Hunt
Treasure hunt is an activity which challenges to thinking and use creativity to solve mysteries.
Cracking mysteries solving puzzles makes them more confident in taking up any challenges.
Daksh Club of Department of Management Studies threw this challenge to the students of BBA, B.COM & MBA on 12 April, 2023.
The activity gave them an opportunity to communicate effectively, act responsibly in a team and improve their social skills.
It was played in a team consisting of four members.
All the teams members were given clues and the team which could solve all the clues and collect the items on the list first of all, would be declared as the winner.
The students displayed tremendous spirit and presence of mind in solving puzzles together, spanning out to look for clues and find the treasure ultimately.

A business quiz is an educative and exciting way of enhancing business related knowledge, skills and intricacies. It identifies knowledge gaps, boosts confidence and helps students retain information.
Since questions are based out-of-syllabus and require critical thinking and extensive research, students get into the habit of innovative learning. It also encourages team work as students need to form teams while participating in the quiz, giving them an opportunity to hone their teamwork skills.
The quiz turned out to be a very close game between the participants, giving enthralling time to the audience. It was thoroughly enjoyed by participants, faculty and the students.

The main objective of this activity was to develop creative thinking among the students and also to improve the communication skills and confidence level of the students.

Workshop on Digital Marketing
Workshop of IIM Kozhikode for MBA students on Digital Marketing was recently conducted at Global Institutes by Mr. Neeraj Kheria, Google and IIM certified trainer where three best students were selected for National level round and given certificates of merit.
Dalhousie Trip
Students of MBA2nd &4th Sem was organized trip to Dalhousie. They started their journey on 10th Feb at 6:00 a.m. with Ms. Pallavi Sood (MBA) and Mr. Sumeetpal (HMCT). They reached their by 2:30 p.m after that enjoyed the beauty of place and at night they enjoyed DJ party at hotel. On 11th Feb they again started their journey to Amritsar at 12:00 noon. Students enjoyed their trip a lot.
Case Analysis “Chak De India
Case Analysis Activity was organized by Management Department on 8th Feb,18. Students of MBA 2nd Sem and 4th Sem participated in this Activity. Students were divided into group of 4 students in each group. They were shown clippings of bollywood movie “Chak De India”. Students were asked to correlate the movie with management concept. One of the students from each group presented the management concepts identified by the group by seeing the clippings. The best 3 teams were awarded by certificates. Winning team was from MBA 2nd Sem. With this students of MBA get knowledge about management concept. This activity was become very interesting.
Industrial visit To Verka Milk Plant, Amritsar
Total number of 60 Students from MBA(4th sem) and B.COM(6th sem) planned a one day industrial visit to Verka Milk Plant, Amritsar on 25/01/2018. The journey started at 11:00 AM from college and reached plant at 11:30 AM. The students were divided in a group of two( 32 students each) . They welcomed us. The students interacted with the quality team of the company. The quality team showed various units of Verka milk plant including manufacturing of plastic bottles, TQM, Refilling of glass bottles, preservatives used etc. Students visited the whole plant and gained knowledge. It was an interactive session where students cross questioned the quality team members about the working of the company. After spending approximately one hour at Verka Milk Plant, we reached to college at 1:30 pm. It was a knowledgeable visit where students learnt different techniques and methods used by the organization. Last but not the least, I admire the staff of the organization. They were cooperative and handled students queries calmly.
Quiz Competition “ Daksh”
Quiz Competition was organized by Management Department on 29-Jan-2018 at 11:00 a.m. in HMCT Block. B.Com, BBA, ATHM and HMCT were participants of this Competition. Four rounds were there, each round carried 4 questions of 5 marks each and there will be no negative marking. Round 1 was of General Knowledge, Round 2 was to identify the Personality, Round 3 was of General Awareness and last but not least Round 4 was related to Corporate World. This Competition was very interesting and enjoyable for the students. Students also get motivated with this kind of Competitions at Departmental Level. Winners were awarded with Certificates.
PAC Activity
PAC Activity was organized by the faculty members of MBA Department for MBA 2nd Sem & 4th Sem. In this activity PPT on Team Work was presented by Dr. R.K. Ghai (Director GIM) and Ms. Pallavi Sood to motivate the students. Second activity was Collage making, in this team of 4 students was made they have to make a collage of any product and advertise it. From Collage making Winner and Runner Up was Awarded. Third Activity was again in the same team and it was related blowing of Balloons. This PAC Activity was very interesting and enjoyable. Students enjoyed this Activity and get motivated.

An AD-MAD SHOW was organized by Global Institute of Management on 28th September, 2015. The show was organized in order to meet the competition through creative & innovative advertisements. All the management students including MBA, B.Com, ATHM, HMCT participated enthusiastically in the show.

The students of MBA were taken to the Coca Cola Company where they were shown the automated machines working for the production, bottling, packaging, labelling & distribution of the Coca Cola Products.

Guest Lecture On “Importance Of Values In Business Organisation
Dr. Lakhwinder Singh (Head, Dept. of Commerce, GNDU, Amritsar) delivered a lecture on the importance of Values in Business Organisation to the students of MBA, BBA and B.Com. on 23-08-2017. He also discussed case studies of MindTree Technologies and United Parcel Service. It was an informative and interactive session in which 200 students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The lecture started at around 1:30pm with a presentation in which speaker showed some wonderful videos and related them to the topic. Students felt excited right from the start of session and their interest continued till end. While discussing case studies, the speaker gave very useful information about the companies. The cases were distributed to the students a day before and they all came studied and prepared. They asked number of questions and the guest not only answered, but gave practical examples for the same. The speaker also quoted some funny examples and garnered applause of the audience. It was a lengthy session of about 2.5 hours but the students attended it patiently because of interest they developed in the topic.
The Management Fest 2017 FACE OFF
Annual Management Fest “Faceoff” was organized in Global Institute of Management with an aim to explore and flourish the creative side of students. It was inaugurated by Chairman (Global Institutes) Dr. B.S.Chandi. The event commenced with Picto & Collage Making followed by Ad-Mad Show, Quiz, Caption Contest & Brand Rangoli. Students from GIM & GIMET participated in the event in huge numbers. Vice-Chairman, Dr. Aakashdeep Singh Chandi, Dr. Rajesh Goel, Director GIMET, Dr. N S Bhalla, Director GIM, Dr. Maninder Singh, Principal, GIMET, Prof. B D Sharma, Dean Academics encouraged the participants. Students, in teams, competed with others to secure positions in the competitions. The event concluded with a valedictory function where winners and runner ups were given trophies & certificates. Global Institute of Management (GIM) organized a guest lecture on the topic of “TALLY SOFTAWRE & JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN ACCOUNTING FIELD” on 04/02/2016. Mr. Vijay Kumar along with his team members from Tally Institute, Bangalore addressed the students of MBA and B.COM on the significance of skill development, communication skills in today’s era. He has emphasized that there are ample opportunities in the field of Accountancy and its software Tally. He also told that the requirements of industry are different from the curriculum which the students are studying in various courses and advised the students to bridge this gap. Tally (ERP.9) software company is providing training across the globe. They have 95% share in India. Company is providing business management solutions and having 25000+ partners.
