Industrial Visit to ASPEN LIFESCIENCES, AMRITSAR for B. Pharmacy Students
The Department of Pharmacy organized an enriching industrial visit to ASPEN LIFESCIENCES, AMRITSAR on April 12, 2023 for the students of 2nd Semester of B. Pharmacy.
The visit aimed at providing practical exposure to the students about the latest industry trends and technologies.
Initially the students were taken to the various departments/sections of the Company which included Quality Control Laboratories , Quality Assurance Section, Storage Area , Manufacturing Area and Packaging Area.
The students were briefly given information regarding working of various equipments and also the principles of the working of instruments like SPECTROPHOTOMETER, HIGH PERFORMNACE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY and various others analytical equipments used in the quality testing of the finished products as well as for testing the initial raw materials.
Mr. Lalit Kumar, QA Manager, explained in detail every step before entering the manufacturing area. The company follows very good manufacturing practices.
In addition to the knowledge sharing session, the students also got the opportunity to interact with professionals of the company and got practical insights into the industry.
The students were accompanied by two faculty members, Mr Tejinder Singh and Ms Shanta Mahajan, who ensured that the students made the most of their visit.
In a nutshell, the industrial visit to ASPEN LIFESCIENCES, AMRITSAR was a fantastic opportunity for the students of B. Pharmacy to gain practical exposure to the latest industrial technologies and analytical equipments.
The visit was a resounding success and a testament to the Pharmacy Department’s commitment for providing quality education as well as providing industrial exposure to its students.
