Visit to IVY Hospital * .
The Department of Pharmacy organized an enriching visit to IVY hospital Amritsar on April 6, 2023 for the students of D. Pharmacy second year.
The visit aimed at providing practical exposure to the students about the latest pharmaceutical trends and technologies such as dispensing, storage, inventory control.
Mr. Amarjeet Singh, an experienced pharmacist, demonstrated various dosage forms, storage conditions, prescription reading and how to operate the software for making the retail bills which provided a deeper understanding of the practical applications of the latest technologies.
The team of experts at IVY hospital generously shared their knowledge with the students, providing a detailed overview of the various concepts related to in-patient and out-patient pharmacy outlets.
In addition to the session, the students had the opportunity to interact with professionals in their field of interest and gain practical insights into the pharmacy.
Furthermore, the students were provided with the exposure to Sedatives, Narcotics and Antibiotics used as per the laws mentioned in the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
The students were accompanied by two faculty members, Mr. Navjot Singh and Mr. Shamsher Singh, who ensured that the students gained fruitful knowledge from this visit.
For students, it was a fantastic opportunity to gain practical exposure to the latest trends in hospital retail outlets.
The visit was a resounding success and provided a great opportunity to update their knowledge about their field of study.
