The Department of Civil Engineering, under the aegis of the John Smeaton Club, successfully organized a Live Project Exhibition on 15th April 2026 (Constructopia – Where Ideas Take Shape)

The exhibition was evaluated by a panel comprising Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singh, Director Dr. M. S. Saini, Dean Academics and Research Dr. Arvind Dewangan, Associate Dean Academics Dr. Suman Nayyar, Dean Student Welfare Dr. P. K. Sharma, Prof. D. S. Bhambra (OSD), and Er. Abhishek Bakshi from TMTCS, UltraTech.

The primary objective of the exhibition was to empower students to demonstrate their technical expertise, foster innovation in civil engineering, enhance teamwork and communication skills, and provide an opportunity to interact with experts for valuable feedback and insights.

A total of nine teams presented their Live Projects as under and each reflecting creativity, innovation, and practical relevance :

Intelibump (Smart Speed Breaker),
Earth Air Tunnel Cooling System,
Smart Traffic Light Signal for Ambulance,
Electromagnetic Guided Road Transport System,
Enhancing the Properties of Concrete Using Bacteria,
3D Concrete Printing Machine,
Traffic Light Intersection and Sensing Street Light,
Vertical Tower Parking System and
Sustainable Road System.

The Exhibition was a grand success. The enthusiastic participation of students, coupled with strong faculty support, highlighted the spirit of innovation and practical learning. The event set a benchmark for future academic and technical activities.

The following projects were adjudged as winners:

1st Position:
Smart Traffic Light Signal for Ambulance (CE-4)

2nd Position:
Earth Air Tunnel Cooling System (CE-6)7

3rd Position:
Enhancing the Properties of Concrete Using Bacteria (CE-8)
