Pharmacy Education Day 2026
The Department of Pharmacy, Global Group of Institutes celebrated National Pharmacy Education Day 2026 with great enthusiasm to honor the birth anniversary of Prof. Mahadeva Lal Schroff, who is known as the father of pharmacy education in India. The celebration aimed to recognize his valuable contribution to the development of pharmaceutical education and to inspire students to uphold the values of the pharmacy profession.
The program was organized with the participation of students, faculty members, and staff of the Department of Pharmacy. The event began with a brief introduction about the life and achievements of Prof. M. L. Schroff and his significant role in establishing pharmacy education in India.
As part of the celebration, a debate competition was organized where students expressed their views on topics related to pharmacy education, the role of pharmacists in healthcare, and the future of the pharmaceutical profession. The participants presented well-structured arguments and displayed confidence and excellent communication skills.
A poster-making competition was also conducted to encourage creativity and awareness among students. Participants prepared informative and visually appealing posters highlighting themes such as the importance of pharmacy education, patient safety, rational use of medicines, and the role of pharmacists in society.
The highlight of the celebration was an inspiring lecture delivered by Dr. Ritika Puri (Head of Department) Pharmacy Department. In her address, she spoke about the legacy of Prof. M. L. Schroff and emphasized the importance of dedication, ethical practice, and continuous learning in the field of pharmacy. She also encouraged students to work sincerely and contribute to improving healthcare services through their professional knowledge.
At the end of the event, the winners of the debate and poster-making competitions were appreciated and congratulated for their outstanding performances.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of Mr. Sarvpreet Singh & Mr. Jagbir Singh (Organizing Committee), faculty members, and students for making the event successful.
