Global Institute begins Academic Session with Induction Programme

Global Group of Institutes conducted the Induction Programme to welcome the new students who have joined various courses at its campus.

The Induction Programme was held to apprise the new students with important information in their new educational journey and to make them aware of the rules and regulations to be followed during their stay on the campus.

The students were also acquainted with the importance of assignments, teaching methodology, academics, sports and cultural activities undertaken at the Institute and most importantly they were introduced to the ‘Education Philosophy’ pursued at the Global Group of Institutes.

Dr. Akashdeep Singh Chandi, Vice-chairman addressed the students and dwelt on the journey of excellence undertaken by Global Institute since 2008. He informed that the Institute was established with the pious aim to provide quality education to the students of the region by providing world class infrastructure viz. Modern Labs, Laboratories, AC Classrooms, Pollution free and healthy environment and Sports facilities of International standards.

The Vice Chairman informed the gathering that due to holistic approach of the management and the sincere efforts of the faculty the students of the Global Institutes have made their mark in the University examinations by bagging 24 Gold Medals, More than 120 First Positions and above 600 Merit positions in the short span of 15 years of its inception. During his address he mentioned with legitimate pride the accomplishment of its alumni ‘The Shining Star’ of Global Ms. Mohana Singh becoming one of the first three ‘Women Fighter Pilots’ in the Indian Air Force. He proudly apprised the new students and the parents accompanying them about the selection of a Global Student Priya of B.Tech. CSE department at a Package of Rs.30 Lacs per annum by reputed New Zealand based Company ‘Rabtor NZ Limited.

Dr. B.S. Chandi, the Chairman blessed the new students and wished them all the best for their endeavors during and after studies.

Dr. M.S. Saini Campus Director, exhorted the students to work hard and concentrate on their studies during their stay in the college.

Prof. B.D. Sharma, Director Admissions in his address explained the rules and regulations of the Institute and advised the students to maintain discipline and decorum.

Col. Sudhir Behal Dean Training and Placement explained the role of the Training and Placement Cell in shaping the young minds by training them for their life outside campus.

Dr. P.K. Sharma Dean Students Welfare informed the students about various welfare measures and schemes available in the campus. He explained in details about various scholarship available for the students.

Dr. Sanjeev Saini Dean (Academics) informed the new students about the academic schedule followed at the Institute as per the IKG PTU norms.

Dr. Maninder Singh, Dr. Maninderjit Kaur, Prof. Charanjit Singh, Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, HODs, Faculty members, a large numbers of new students and their parents attended the Induction Programme.
