Global Group of Institutes organized Annual Sports Meet-2023 at its campus on 22nd MARCH 2023.

The annual sports meet was formally declared open by Chairman Dr. B.S. Chandi who formally handed over the Meet Torch to the torch bearer athlete for the inaugural lap. Athletic contingents representing different departments joined in an impressive march past before the athletes took to the field to demonstrate speed, stamina and strength in the events.

Teams from all streams of B.Tech., B.Sc. Agri., MBA, BBA/BCA, B.Pharma/ MLS/ OTT/ Radiology, MCA, GPC, BHMCT and BTTM participated in the events and exhibited their athletic acumen and skills on the tracks.

In Volleyball matches (Girls) B.Tech. Civil defeated by Management to emerge winners and (Boys) Diploma defeated by B.Pharmacy to emerge winners clinch the trophy.

The winners in the shot put events were : (Boys) 1st Sahil Kumar B.Tech. CSE, 2nd Subham BBA, 3rd Shamsher Singh Dip. EE and (Girls) 1st Sneha B.Tech. CSE, 2nd Joram Aru MBA, 3rd Stanzin Spaldon B.Tech. CE.

In Long Jump Subhash, Dheeraj and Lucky Sharma got the 1st, 2nd and 3rd from among boys and among girls, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Positions were bagged by Raghni Verma, Niru Phagunaguja Deori, Dhakshi.

Similarly the race events were marked by intense competition in which the sprinters put in all their efforts to touch the finishing tape and reach to the podium. The results of various events are as follows:-

3) 200 mtrs. (Boys) 1st Ranjit Singh Dip.ME, 2nd Zahid Abdullah B.Pharm & 3rd Shamsher Singh Dip EE

4) 200 mtrs.(Girls) 1st Ragni Verma B.Tech.CSE, 2nd Damandeep Kaur BBA & 3rd Likha Yada B.Tech. CE

5) 400 mtrs.(Boys) 1st Dheeraj Kumar MLA, 2nd Rajbir Singh BCA & Shivpal Singh BHMCA

6) 4x100mtrs relay (Girls)

1st: Nikter Yashi, Bengia Manio, Likha Yada & Stanzin Spaldon B.Tech. CE

2nd: Jouam Asu, Apung Langu, Boni Nikki (MBA), Karitika Negi (Agri.)

3rd: Arshdeep Kaur, Vipanpreet Kaur, Sukhleen Kaur, Chahat Kaur (B.Com.)

The winners were awarded Medals, Certificates and Trophies at the culmination of the Annual Sports Meet 2023 by Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singh Chandi and other officials.
