Department of Fashion Design organized an ECO-PRINTING COMPETITION

To mark the spirit of creativity and sustainability in fashion, the Department of Fashion Design organized an ECO-PRINTING COMPETITION on 19th September 2025 in the Draping and Pattern Making Lab. The event was conducted to provide students with a platform to explore natural dyeing techniques, artistic expression, and eco-friendly practices in textile surface ornamentation.
Enthusiastic participants from the department took part with great zeal, experimenting with various natural leaves, flowers, and plant materials to create innovative eco-print designs on fabric. Ms. Bharti Kapoor and Ms. Satinder Kaur guided the students about the techniques of Eco-Printing and students themselves designed various articles with the same. The competition aimed to sensitize students about sustainable fashion while enhancing their design skills through hands-on experience.
The competition was judged by Dr. Arvind Dewangan (Dean Research) along with Mr. Raghu Kanojia (Coordinator Cyber Security & Cultural Head). The evaluation was based on originality of design, use of natural resources, aesthetic appeal, and creativity in presentation. After careful assessment, the winners were announced as follows:
🥇 First Position: Priya
🥈 Second Position: Parveen Kaur
