Global Football League Season-II 2024” started with the inauguration of the Tournament by Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singh Chandi on September 27, 2024.

“Global Football League Season-II 2024” started with the inauguration of the Tournament by Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singh Chandi on September 27, 2024.

The Tournament plaque was released in the sky signifying the sky high aspirations of the Globalians.

A total number 07 teams from different departments participated in the league.

The inaugural match was played between the teams of Department of Law and Polytechnic Diploma which was won by Law team.

The Second match of the day between Department of Management and B.Tech. CSE turned out to be a one sided affairs with the Management team winning by 4-0.

Third match played between Department of Pharmacy and Department of Computer Applications was won by the Pharmacy team.

First Semi final was played between Department of Law and B.Tech. Civil Engineering (winner of last season) and civil won by 3-2 to enter the final.

In the 2nd Semi-final, the Management team defeated the Pharmacy team by 2-1 margin in the penalty shootout to march to the final.

The final was played between Department of Management and B.Tech. Civil. The management players scored the winning goal to make it 2-1 in the dying moments before the final whistle to clinch the trophy of Global Football League 2024 Season-II.

Dr. Akashdeep Singh Chandi awarded the Championship Trophy to the winning team of Department of Management and distributed Medals to the players of both the winner and the Runner up teams. He appreciated the sportsmanship and fair play displayed by the players during the matches.

Dr. M.S. Saini Campus Director, Prof. D.S. Bhambra, Dr. Maninder Singh, Mr. Dilraj Singh, Sports Incharge, Prof. Vikas Rana, HODs and Faculty members were also present on this occasion.
