Contribution in the Prime Minister National Relief Fund

The members of Staff of Global Institutes, Sohian Khurd, Batala Road, Amritsar have sent a cheque of Rs. 1,25,000/- as a token contribution in the Prime Minister National Relief Fund started by the Tribune for the affected people of Uttrakhand. The Vice Chairman of Global Institutes, while handing over the cheque, said that the whole Staff of the Institutes voluntarily and enthusiastically contributed the money for the rehabilitation of people of Uttrakhand. The Chairman of Global Institutes, Dr. B.S. Chandi said that Staff members of Global Institutes have always been at the forefront for the social cause like this and are always ready to help for the upliftment of the people affected by such tragedies as has happened in Uttrakhand.

Blood Donation Camp at Global Institutes

Global Institutes, Amritsar, in collaboration with Rotary Club, Amritsar organized a massive Blood Donation Camp on 21.03.2014 in which more than 500 students and Faculty members of the Institute donated blood for the noble cause. The Chief Guest, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Gill SSP (Rural) (IPS) Amritsar inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp. Mr. Singh appreciated the blood donor students, staff members & the Faculty and said that donating blood is a life saving action. "You don't lose anything if you donate blood as human body has a regenerating mechanism", he added. A team of senior doctors from Civil Hospital, Amritsar monitored the camp. They lauded the motivation of students for their highly enthusiastic contribution in organizing this camp.

Earlier, Chairman, Dr. B. S. Chandi welcomed the Hon'ble SSP Mr. Gurpreet Singh in the Global Campus and thanked him for sparing time from his busy schedule. Applauding the donors, he observed, that everyone should donate blood as it replicates human values and social responsibility towards our society.The Vice Chairman, Dr. Akashdeep Singh personally supervised the Blood Donation Camp arrangements. He said, "Blood is one of those God gifted lifelines which cannot be produced artificially. Therefore, as a human being it becomes our responsibility towards our society to make sure no one dies due to shortage of blood." Director Dr. Arvind Bhardwaj was all praise for the students and the team of the organizes lead by Prof. D.S. Bhambra, Head-Department of Mechanical Engineering for the efficient arrangements for the Blood Donation Camp.
